A super specialty hospital will be coming up in Khanda Colony at New Panvel soon. Cidco has decided to allot 10,000 sq m land for building the 173-bed hospital at Khanda Colony an d 40% of beds will be reserved for the underprivileged.

NAVI MUMBAI: A super specialty hospital will be coming up in Khanda Colony at New Panvel soon. Cidco has decided to allot 10,000 sq m land for building the 173-bed hospital at Khanda Colony an d 40% of beds will be reserved for the underprivileged.
Cidco officials said that the hospital is required in the wake of population growth in Panvel, the upcoming international airport and development of Naina area in Raigad district.

Currently, no super specialty hospital, offering services at affordable rates, is available within the radius of 20km from Panvel node.
“Even the accident victims on Sion-Panvel highway are taken to Mumbai hospitals. A specialty hospital can help all patients, including the needy,” said Vijay Pandare, a resident.
Cidco officials informed that MNR, a Hyderabad based educational society, will develop the hospital in four years and provide medical facilities to patients from all economic sections. As per an agreement with Cidco, the hospital will reserve 40% beds to the economically weak. “Patients from PAP families, Cidco employees and former employees will be also entitled for medical facilities at reasonable charge here,” said chief PRO, Mohan Ninawe.
